Here at FareShare Sussex we are very excited to once again be a charity of choice for the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival. As always, they have an amazing line-up of local foodie events planned.
On 22nd May, in aid of FareShare Sussex, two of Brighton’s most celebrated international restaurants join together to combine the culinary street food delights of ‘Chilli Cousins’ Mexico and India. Chefs Benji Hinchliffe of La Choza and Kanthi Thamma of Curry Leaf Café are each producing four courses guaranteed to bring a riot of colour, flavour and fun. Spice lovers, this is not to be missed! Find more details and how to book here.
Of course you can find us on Hove Lawns during the Sussex and the World Weekend 27th – 29th May where we’ll be challenging Brighton’s top chefs to make something delicious with surplus food. Also look out for the festival’s special ‘Hello’ beer in collaboration with Two Tribes Brewery, available at many Brighton restaurants and bars in May and June. With a proportion of profits from every beer donated to FareShare Sussex, be sure to make this your tipple of choice this Spring.
Make sure you pick up a Spring Harvest Festival brochure around town or check it out online. Skip to page 30 to see our very own Steering Group member, volunteer, Festival Patron and all round wonderful person Sharon Honey sharing ‘a day in the life’ as a FareShare Sussex volunteer. Or check out the feature here.
We hope to see you in May to celebrate our brilliant local food scene. It is great coming together with such a passionate and committed group of talented people through the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival who work hard to support their community. And we can’t wait to get stuck in to some delicious food.
