What our members tell us

Our charity members recently completed a survey giving us great insight into how FareShare benefits vulnerable people and communities. We are so grateful to our members for taking the time to pass on this information, and loved it so much we thought we would share it with everybody!

Our charity members are hugely diverse and provide a range of different services in Brighton and the wider Sussex area. The largest group represented are supported housing schemes providing accommodation for people experiencing homelessness and people on low or no incomes.

FareShare Sussex’s service is reaching a total of 7044 people each week. The majority of our members support between 10 and 30 people weekly, but 12 members are supporting over 100 people every week.

“…Being part of Fareshare has transformed what we are able to provide, and slashed our costs in the process. The food is always fresh and fantastic quality, so it’s meant we can make sure that any young person struggling to make ends meet can not only eat regularly at Xtrax – but healthily too.” – Xtrax – youth drop in centre, Hastings

Our members have told us that they are providing 12,890 meals and 1233 food parcels each week combined.
