Introducing our new support hub for volunteers

This Volunteer’s Week we are thrilled to launch CareShare.

As part of our commitment to ensure that all Fareshare volunteers are supported and feel happy and fulfilled in their roles, and alongside our ambitions to help more volunteers gain employability skills and progress into paid work, we created this new support service.

CareShare is a new support and wellbeing hub, located within FareShare Sussex which aims to provide support services to all FareShare volunteers who wish to access them. The CareShare hub will operate as a drop-in service and will be staffed by volunteer mentors and FareShare staff members.

Volunteer attendees will be able to access support and signposting, access computers and the internet. In the future post-Covid-19 we will hold classes and workshops that will help support their wellbeing and career progression.

If you work for an organisation that offers employability skills training, advice or guidance relating to health and well-being, we want to hear from you.

We are also calling out for computers and stationary to get our services up and running, as well as plants and cushions to make the space warm and inviting. If you think you can help with any of these requests, please email volunteering@faresharesussex.org.uk
