There are over 8 million people in the UK experiencing food poverty of some kind. City Food Share‘s partners at The Flour Pot Bakery, have committed their eight stores across Brighton, Hove and Worthing to help fight food poverty. The need for food banks is growing and by working together our community can help FareShare Sussex and other local charities to continue their work.

Through City Food Share’s Tap & Share campaign, it’s easier than ever for local businesses to get involved and make a real difference in their communities. Tap & Share employs contactless donation units, making it safe and convenient for customers to give in these difficult times.

Immediately I was struck by the simplicity of the idea and got on board straight away.

The whole process of introducing Tap & Share has been incredibly easy to set up and organise. My initial phone call one Wednesday afternoon led to Tap & Share units being in-store by the following Monday. It’s very simple to use and sits on the counter next to the till. Customers just tap when they want to donate. We have had a hugely positive experience working with City Food Share, they have been really supportive of us.
