Our Big Give Christmas Challenge is officially ON! The Christmas Challenge kicked off today at 12pm, so now’s the perfect time for you to make a donation to double your impact and help us to fight hunger and tackle food waste in Sussex and Surrey.
UPDATE 3rd December: We are thrilled to say we have reached our target of £8000. You can still donate to the appeal until midday 8th December but donations will no longer be doubled.
Why donate now?
Until 12pm on Thursday 8th December, all donations we receive through our Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign page will be matched by supporters who have already pledged to equal every donation we receive until we reach our target. That means the value of your donation will be doubled at no extra cost to you.
For example, a donation of £30 from you will mean we receive £60 – enabling us to deliver enough food to provide 240 meals for vulnerable people in local areas. It really is that simple to double your donation to make twice the impact.
So, whether you can afford to donate a fiver or five hundred quid, the Christmas Challenge is a fantastic way to make your generosity go even further this Christmas.

- Households with children using local food banks have an average weekly food budget of just £8.53 per person (Source: Brighton & Hove Food Partnership – PDF). This simply doesn’t cover a full week’s worth of complete meals.
- Since the beginning of the pandemic we have delivered more than 1100 tonnes of food to community projects in Sussex and Surrey to support the most vulnerable in our community. That’s the equivalent of more than 2.6 million meals
- Demand doesn’t show signs of slowing – we now support 160 local charities and projects.
