Three vacancies at FareShare Sussex

FareShare Sussex are looking for three exceptional people to join our growing team. Joining newly appointed CEO Rob Orme, we are looking for a Development Manager and an Operations Manager to form our Senior Management Team, completing a dedicated and highly professional team of 12 staff and 150 volunteers to help us achieve our mission of fighting hunger, tackling food waste and transforming lives through the redistribution of food.

We are also looking for a passionate and energetic individual to join us as our Volunteer Coordinator, recruiting, managing and supporting our incredible team of food heroes that are essential to the success of FareShare Sussex’s work tackling hunger and food waste.

Volunteer Coordinator

This role is all about ensuring FareShare Sussex has a happy, confident and well-supported volunteer team who do everything from take in deliveries, drive our vans and make lunches in our kitchen. With 150+ volunteers at FareShare Sussex, the role requires a very well-organised individual with great communication skills and a commitment to supporting a range of people with diverse backgrounds.

Operations Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and delivery of all FareShare Sussex’s services, projects and programmes. This includes ensuring effective long-term relationships with our charity members, and leadership and management of relevant staff, volunteers and support services.

Development Manager

This role is about ensuring the development and growth of the organisation in line with the targets and objectives in the strategic and operational plans. It will involve developing and maintaining strategic partnerships, securing funding through a range of income streams and expanding our network of charity members.
