FareShare Sussex is now a Disability Confident Employer!
In May we were announced as a Disability Confident Employer. This is an important step to ensuring that at FareShare Sussex we are continually striving for inclusivity, diversity and accessibility for all of our staff and volunteers.It is also recognition of the work we are already doing to recruit and retain people with disabilities.
Becoming a Disability Confident Employer means we are committed to helping positively change attitudes, behaviours and cultures in FareShare Sussex and beyond to ensure that people with a disability have equal opportunities. It means we are benefiting from drawing on a wide pool of people and gaining a variety of volunteers and staff who all bring valuable skills and experience to the team.
At FareShare Sussex we love that we have diverse staff and volunteers, who come from a range of backgrounds, and bring different approaches to our work. As a disability confident employer we are taking actions to address barriers and stigmas that potentially prevent people with disabilities joining our team.
