We are recruiting a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team.

Without our team of 150+ volunteers we could not carry out our work redistributing surplus food to vulnerable people across Sussex and Surrey. The Volunteer Coordinator role is there to recruit, support and celebrate our wonderful food heroes, who come from a diverse range of backgrounds all united by their passion to fight hunger and food waste in their community.

We are looking for a passionate, committed and productive individual with excellent organisational and communication skills.

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Volunteer Coordinator will lead the development and successful delivery of the volunteer programme to meet FareShare Sussex’s operational needs and individual development needs. This will include recruitment, support, development and management of volunteers and associated projects and programmes and supporting policies and procedures. As the main point of contact for volunteers, key to this role is to provide ongoing support to volunteers with diverse needs, with an understanding of and commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults.
